Who is P.O.R.T. and how did this all come together?
In 2008, the Paranormal & Occult Research Team (more commonly known as P.O.R.T.) was formed by Ben Robison. In an effort to better understand and to decipher experiences he had throughout his life, he decided to take the next step. In a relatively short period of time P.O.R.T. is making heads turn with their extensive research methods, thorough investigation measures, detailed documentation and their vast array of skill sets within the team. P.O.R.T. takes extreme pride in the amount of research they put in on every case. The belief is the more researched a case is, the more prepared they are to validate, debunk, confront and uncover. The goal is to provide a professional service to their clients for free of charge. Equipped with today's latest technology and armed with intellectual insight, P.O.R.T. takes an in depth and intense approach that combines science & spiritual concepts. With the primary focus of cases being in Washington & Oregon it gives P.O.R.T. the ability to stay local & true to their Pacific Northwest roots. It affords both their clients & the team the advantage of lowered costs and revisited investigations. Perspective is key for P.O.R.T. It keeps them grounded yet determined to be on the forefront while maintaining their clients best interests. Paranormal & Occult Research Team (P.O.R.T.) is committed to providing a FREE-of-charge service to those in need. If you are in fear, curious, or simply confused about events that you feel may be paranormal, we feel a duty to use our technical and spiritual resources to help you to understand and no longer fear those events. Our mission is simple. We will attempt to provide answers, understanding, and hopefully resolution for the client. We will also endeavor to document and catalogue multiple paranormal occurrences in an effort to provide empirical evidence for study. P.O.R.T. promises to be professional and diligent in investigating, documenting, and debunking.
We bring various skills, knowledge, common sense, and equipment as resources in providing a thorough investigation. We will not engage in debates over the existence of ghosts or other phenomena. Instead, we will focus on capturing evidence of the phenomena at hand for our analysis and for validation of the claimant's need. Our approach will be scientifically based, with the added component of spiritual openness to whatever phenomena we may encounter.
Research plays a large role in our approach. Past events, when known or knowable, often lend credence to current events, and can help refine a catalogue of isolated data into a viable explanation. P.O.R.T. will research all histories, lore, accounts and documentation on the buildings and grounds directly involved or adjacent so that we may better correlate the accounts of our client and the historical data collected.
In the event of apparent spiritual presences, we realize we do not have the expertise to engage such forces and will consult the appropriate authority for help. We are prepared to enlist the aid of clairvoyants, mediums, demonologists, or religious authorities. These measures will only be taken at the request of the client or with the consent of our client. We cannot guarantee we can eliminate the phenomena, but we will take any and all measures to do what we can to alleviate the bothersome activity or at least to offer suggestions of techniques to deal with it.
P.O.R.T. is passionate about seeking proof of life after death. We take our mission seriously and intend to exhibit our passion for this field and our integrity on every case, regardless of the scope. |
