Paranormal & Occult Research Team's Collected Evidence
The Paranormal & Occult Research Team uses the best audio, photo, & video editing software to help us extract what we feel are paranormal or supernatural artifacts. This page serves as a way for us to share with the world some of the unexplainable events we have caught with our gear. We take a lot of pride in scrutinizing each piece of potential evidence while cataloguing, though it is up to each observer to form their own opinion.
Many paranormal groups out there unfortunately are so anxious (and possibly desperate) to know they caught something paranormal that they forget to take an objective, non-biased, and debunking approach to their analysis of each potential piece of evidence. We here at P.O.R.T. uphold a very strong doctrine with regards to either evidence discarded or evidence kept that we present to our clients. When possible, we will even recreate a scenario so that we may be able to debunk an anomaly caught on our media.
There are 3 different categories evidence can fall into:
1. Catalogued Anomalies ~ Evidence captured on any recording device (i.e.: camera, audio recorder, etc.) that has been carefully examined, attempts to debunk have failed, and any rational or practical explanation has been ruled out.
2.
Personal Experiences ~ An unexplainable event or occurrence, that one or more people witnessed, that defies any rational or practical explanation; however, because no recording equipment captured it, was in operation, or pointing in the vicinity within its range of recording capability, then it is was it is...a personal experience.
3. Debunked ~ Any anomalies captured on audio, photo, or video that can be proven not to be of paranormal / supernatural origin. Any personal experiences that can be debunked to explain or recreate the paranormal / supernatural effect.
*Please note that because we offer 3 levels of anonymity for our clients not all of our evidence can be published for the public to see or hear. Also, the evidence posted on our site is property of the Paranormal & Occult Research Team and cannot be used in any manner without written approval from either the Founder or Co-Founder of P.O.R.T.

General tips for collecting evidence
When collecting audio, photo and video evidence try to create as pure of an environment as you possibly can. This will pay off in the analysis stage of your case. Don't trust just yourself, seek a second opinion on a potential piece of evidence. Make sure the person you have analyze this material knows little to nothing at all about it. This way they don't already have a predisposition of what you think the anomaly is. Know the capabilities of your equipment, don't exceed their limits and as a rule of thumb NEVER zoom! Why? You are altering the native settings of the device which could potentially cause distortion, unfocused frames and a tunnel vision effect. Prepare all media ahead of time and make sure you have fresh batteries on hand! |
