Would you like the Paranormal & Occult Research Team to do an investigation in your home, business or on your land?
We'd love to! But first there are some things you must know. P.O.R.T. does not jump at any request that comes our way. We screen each case by having the potential client fill out either our Preliminary Questionnaire-RESIDENTIAL or our Preliminary Questionnaire-COMMERCIAL (Residential = home and Commercial = business), performing an interview, which is usually done during the on site walk through, and then some initial research. Based on information collected from these means we will either accept or reject the case. If we accept the case, the next step is our research phase. We ask all clients to allow us to do our research as it is a large piece to the preparation for each investigation. P.O.R.T. tries to exhaust all resources during this phase so as to best understand the history of the home, building and / or land. However, there some rare occasions where; given the circumstances, there is an immediate need because of threatening conditions. We will evaluate the situation at hand and make the decision that we feel is best in an effort to provide help in a time of need.

How does P.O.R.T. handle a case from beginning to end?

When does P.O.R.T. perform investigations?
Friday or Saturday from 12am to 4am. (technically this is Saturday & Sunday mornings)

Why these days & time frames?
Primarily because most of us work regular hours (Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm) including our clients. This allows us time to set up gear before midnight and tear down before sunrise. It also makes it much easier for families to coordinate for family members to be somewhere else during our investigation. For most businesses, they don't operate during these hours. However, given the type of business and hours of operations we can work with them to accommodate their business model and our policies. There are many theories out there on certain hours where paranormal activity heightens or is more likely to occur. It is our opinion that these hours offer the closest we can get to a perfect & pure environment that has less variables possible for creating false artifacts.

How much does it cost for an investigation?
Nothing! There is NEVER a charge for our service. We are non-profit and do not offer our services for any monetary value or for fame. This is a passion and a desire for us. When we help our clients; in turn, they help us. We consider it a win-win scenario. P.O.R.T. is primarily funded by membership fees and donations.

What about privacy?
We understand and respectful each clients level of privacy. That is why we offer 3 levels of anonymity. Each client has the choice of full, partial or waived anonymity. We have a form that our clients must fill out before we will conduct an investigation.

Will P.O.R.T. just go into anyone's home, business or on their land?
Absolutely not! P.O.R.T. has a strict policy against conducting an investigation in or on someone else's property without our Investigation Permission Form filled out by an owner, manager, or authorized personnel.

Does P.O.R.T allow the client, friends or family to participate in the investigations?
No, we do not. If P.O.R.T. is invited to investigate someone's home, business, or land only members of the team can participate in the actual investigation. We prefer that either an owner, manager, or authorized personnel stays on site while the investigation is underway, but we don't require it. There are very good reasons why we have put these policies in place. It helps us do what we came to do while working together fluidly. It also allows us to manage the investigation in order to maintain our policies, practices & procedures.

What if P.O.R.T. finds out that a client has falsified information or knowingly put P.O.R.T. in a potentially dangerous situation?
P.O.R.T. will deny or abandon a case without any due explanation. Even if we have traveled many miles and hours we will pack up and leave without notice. We do not appreciate precarious scenarios or people who haven't been forthcoming.
